A Calling to More

How It Began

After 21 years in banking, I found myself restless. Despite a comfortable life and a successful career, something inside me stirred, as though I was made for more. For two years, I wrestled with this feeling—caught between the familiarity of corporate America and the growing sense that God was calling me to something greater. Amid the busyness of life, I often found myself casually questioning God, wondering where He was leading me through this uneasiness.

In November of 2024, I heard a sermon about the two tribes of Israel who settled east of the Jordan River instead of entering the land God had promised them. They chose the “land of good enough” instead of stepping into the fullness of God’s purpose. The message pierced my soul. I realized I had been doing the same in my own life.

With Matthew 7:7–8 as my guide, I moved from casual questioning to a determined, prayerful pursuit of God’s will. My prayers became petitions, echoing the words of Isaiah 6:8: “Here am I; send me.” I promised God that whatever He said, I would do; wherever He led, I would follow.

In June, I found myself in Central America on my first mission trip. It was there, serving alongside local missionaries, that God made it clear that I no longer belonged behind my office desk. He was calling me to a life of impact—into missions.

That trip marked a turning point. Over the following months, God guided my steps through Scripture, sermons, quiet prayer, and even dreams. One night, I dreamed of a radiant white cross formed from clouds in the sky. I gazed as God wrote the words “ask 2” beside it, and the cross transformed them into “task 2.” I awoke knowing that this vivid vision was a clear call from God.

In obedience to that call, I took a leap of faith. In early September 2025, at 50 years old, I resigned from my 24-year career in banking to follow God’s direction and launch this ministry. It was one of the hardest yet most freeing decisions of my life, and it marked the beginning of Task 2 Missions Inc.

The Mission of Task 2

God showed me that Isaiah 6:8 is twofold. The first part is surrender: “Here am I.” But the second part — “send me” — requires action. It calls us to be willing to serve, to go, to help, and to support others—whether physically or financially. This is what “Task 2” is all about.

Task 2 Missions Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization*, exists to help people answer God’s call to action. We support missionaries in the field through fundraising, active partnership, and hands-on service. By working alongside partner mission organizations, we spread the gospel of Jesus Christ, minister to communities, and provide practical aid to those in need.

Through our mission trips and team deployments, we step onto the field to serve directly with local missionaries, becoming the hands and feet of Jesus. Whether through prayer, financial support, sharing our vision, or active participation, we invite everyone to join us in making an eternal impact for God’s kingdom.

It’s faith in action. That’s Task 2. Will you answer?
